The 5th
annual EMAC walk was held on the 3rd of September with a walk to and
fro the LTV GROUNDS and IKEJA environs in LAGOS. The EMAC walk is an event held
with the aim of creating more awareness for cervical cancer, encouraging people
to get screened and spreading the word about cervical cancer, which is killing
one woman every hour in Nigeria.

Care Foundation, 118 Bode Thomas road, Surulere.
According to
Tewa Onasanya, the Founder of Exquisite Magazine and EMAC walk … “this year we
have been able to capture more people, especially the young sexually active
women who are also at the risk of cervical cancer, a form of cancer that is
100% preventable and one of the few cancers that presents a pre-cancer stage.
We appreciate everyone that came out for the walk to raise more awareness and
support our free screening campaign AND also we ask that all women join us for
this free screening even if you did not attend the walk.”
