World PR Media gears up to release Print Magazine and Documentary

The last two years has been a journey, one of learning and one of hard work, we activated a strategy in the Beauty Division of World PR Media that served as a catalyst to the projects we are announcing officially today.

Our Luxury Beauty Brunch was launched in December 2014 as a platform to host themed talks that profile the current trends and stakeholders in the Beauty Industry. With the aim to host at least two every year, we are still very much on course with four instalments under our belt.

After careful review, we saw tremendous trend in the growth of the beauty industry in Nigeria, a growth that needed more voice, more platforms to showcase its wealth of stakeholders and its ever growing consumers, those platforms were conceptualised in the form of the "Beauty Reports", a documentary with a complimenting print magazine.

Tayo Afolabi (Mrs.)
Our Chief Executive and Founder of the Luxury Beauty Brunch and The Beauty Reports, Tayo Afolabi described the project in this statement. " Having a platform such as "The Beauty Reports" that can be accessed on the web and in print is invaluable, we decided to duplify the platforms because of the target audiences out there and the different ways they choose to enjoy their content. Some like it on the go, hence the web, and some want it on demand, also, hence the web, whilst other out there still prefer the good old traditional opening a rich glossy magazine, hence the print.  We have spent our time researching strong stakeholders, ploughing the internet for the trends and have carefully selected our team of contributors and mapped a historic way to deliver our content for your reading and viewing pleasure.

As for the rest of the entire team and host of well wishers, we are very excited and will watch the clock for the count down campaign. Part of the campaign process also include Subscription packages which will give free deliveries of the magazine to your door with free monthly beauty products, special discounts at exclusive spas as well as special reservations (on some packages) to our famous Luxury Beauty Brunch.

The Business of Short Films with Yomi Black

Long before insta gram existed and the rise of other social media platforms, a gentleman and his formidable team began to create content that would change the way we watch things. Gone are those days where we had to wait for our favourite TV programs to start, now, everything is at our finger tips.

Those fingertips are now making monies for people who think ahead, people who use statistics to calculate where they choose to spend their money when it comes to either advertising and or marketing. In a world where you can see how many people actually clicked to view your videos or images, analytical investments are more calculated.

Lets go back to this gentleman we mentioned earlier, his brand was so intriguing we had to conduct our own findings and its not just our words, the figures on how he acquires his audiences attention is mind blowing.

In 2013, the viral video of the famous skit entitled - The Lagos Big Girls Game
(as seen below) was number 3 on YouTube "rewind" as well as on the most watched video list in Nigeria.

The Lagos Big Girls Game

Other huge numbers and highlights under the Black Studios belt included product placement strategy execution for brands like Porsche, Car Ink, Nokia and U-wantit.com in 2014 after which the studio was immediately drafted to create 56 whopping videos for Access Bank in 2015 which till date is still the "most watched viral content" on the platform. These figures caught the eye of decision makers on Cheki.com.ng which prompted a deal with Black Studios that generated 15 percent more traffic to the site.

Fast forward to 2016, one of the viral videos released by Black Studio's camp included this special feature with Toyin Aimakhu, in this age of viewership tracking capabilities, this video has accrued over 770'000 views on various platforms.

These figures in viewership, product placement opportunities and other such related matters will assist any brand with matching target audiences to generate more "awareness" for their brands. Nowadays, the social media has indeed added an extra revenue angle to forward thinking creative minds.

We had to get a statement from the Creative Director and Founder of Black Studios, Yomi Black, to obtain his views on Comedy as a whole and the impact of social media on his content creation. "Times have changed and consumers have a new way of consuming content, everything is now quick and fast and people are craving content on the go" says Yomi Black, that is why we will continue to find new ways to engage their mind through our series of short films".

When asked about future plans for he studio and how the much talked about first film production from the Black Studios stable is going, he informed of that big things are in the pipeline for the film release in November. As for the industry, we will continue to watch and we will continue to crunch numbers.

" We will release our first film "Bandits" in November 2016"....says Yomi Black...

WORLD PR REPORTS ON TIR FASHION HOUSE

TIR FASHION HOUSE DEBUTS ITS RED SEA COLLECTION LOOK BOOK FEATURING TV PERSONALITY/ACTRESS NANCY ISIME”

Creative Designer Danielle Allen for TIR Fashion today released the official Look Book for 2016.  The images from the new look book from the TIR Fashion House camp looks something out of a bond movie, starring the awesome Nancy Isime of course. But a closer look reveals something else, it reveals the character of a lady being the object of desire, the centre piece if you will.

This new collection from the Fashion House has been named its “red sea collection”. At an initial glance you would understand from the predominant colour “red” but digging deeper into the Creative Designer’s thoughts and inspiration for the collection shed so much light, we were in awe.

Danielle Allen, Founder of the TIR Fashion House and Creative behind the brand was only too glad to share her thoughts with us …. “the red sea collection to me is a combination of two things, boldness and might. The boldness is being represented by the colour red whilst the might is being represented by the sea. The sea is boundless, limitless, and holds so much splendour, that to me describes the essence of a women. The collection shows various ways in which a women might want to portray herself, sometimes she is the “boss” which is illustrated on the long sleeveless suit jacket, sometimes she is alluring, sometimes she is captivating but our closing piece is my favourite which shows that above all, she is always the queen of her own world”….

The Red Sea collection, which was also recently showcased at the latest Africa Fashion Week 2016, was supported by the Zimbabwean starlets such as TV Personality Vimbai Muthiniri along side Actress/Producer, Memory Savannhu. Also on the front row to support the show were the Nigeria Fashion Icon, Mai Atafo, Tayo Afolabi, the CEO of World PR Media and Founder of the Luxury Beauty Brunch, Stephanie Kalu-Uche and Footballer Kalu Uche.

The brand has since inception showcased at various world runways and has been known to dress key dignitaries in host country, Zimbabwe, including London and Nigeria.  As a growing brand we pride ourselves on our unique designs. Its African authenticity is aimed at the young at heart and fashionistas who themselves are the epitome of elegance, grace and style.

TIR fashion house has once again proved with this collection that it is on course to achieving its aims to expand the brand globally with the focus of becoming one of the most prominent Pan Africa fashion labels.

From the Desk of the CEO

START TODAY!!!

On this instalment of "From the Desk of the CEO", I want to start a "Strategy 101" series where I encourage my readers to "start today". Some of you may think starting today is such a "known" concept, well to you I would say, grab another book, this is not for you. This particular series of  "start today" are for youth,  potential entrepreneurs, small businesses and aspiring leaders of tomorrow.

Often we think we need the right office, the right capital, the right this and the right that, when the only "right" you should be looking for is "right now". I want to give you a challenge, think about what you would like to achieve and then list what you think you need to have in terms of resources etc etc to achieve it. By doing this, you have already listed an action plan, for some projects, the next step will be timelines.

Now under the "start today" strategy, the following should help any business:

1. Action plan of what you think is needed for your project:

I have found through years of experience that seeing a plan of action/tasks and things of such nature makes your tasks look achievable but most importantly it organises you with precision. As the years go by, my action plans (especially for some of our key projects) now have a plan A to C or even E in worst case scenarios. On one of our current projects, we are even on plan h. Planning allows you to think, in fact, for some people, it forces them to think. Nowadays, when we have completed our signing on process for our clients, we send them a six months overview of the actions on their strategy needs and plan review periods every three months.

2. Research materials on what is actually required in your sector/industry of interest:

You have google and WiFi at your disposal, if you don't, please save up and get data because research is one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself. If your phone is not "smart", hang out with a friend that has one and borrow their device to conduct your research. You need to know what your sector/industry is saying. Once we were tasked with planning a Free Trade Zone and securing technical and finance partners. By far, this was the most important brief of that time, it came at a time where our only experience so far in creating strategic alliances for that type of industry was seeking Investors for the Lekki Free Trade Zone. In our bid to execute the mandate without fail, we researched the best at it, the best of such Zones in the world and the best of the best in terms of technology/finance and execution. Infact, our research even led us to several other intel that were very valuable till today.

As part of the research, profile successful people in your field

Success begat success. To be successful, research the successful, find out how they made it. I'm not saying copy their intellectual property or work, I'm saying mimic their strategy. What took Richard Branson ten years to achieve can take you ten months to achieve with adequate research and intel management and execution. Personally I read a lot, not books per say but reports, reports on brands in various sectors and how they achieved success with a particular project or concept or campaign. During the Free Trade Zone planning project I mentioned earlier, we went from knowing the basics of that industry to fast forward three months into the project, not only could we tell you the best constructed Free Trade Zones in the world, I could also tell you the gaps noted in that industry, which were the need for more Sea Ports in the entire WORLD.

You see when you research, you are doing so to obtain facts, facts that will definitely add value if followed with an action plan and an execution strategy.

Till the next time - "START TODAY" -

If you need some more guidelines for your project, please contact admin@worldprmedia.com. For career advice, please contact careers@worldprmedia.com.

The Beauty Reports with Kiki Omeili

ON THE SET OF THE BEAUTY REPORTS WITH KIKI OMEILI...

The reports we conduct on the Beauty Industry are very targeted, targeted to obtain diverse views and opinions on our chosen subject matters so that in the end, the aim of profiling the trends and stakeholders in the Beauty Industry is always achieved.

Shoot date was set, location was SWE Bar, on site Make Up Artist was as usual our partner Omidan Makeovers and the photographer on set was the talented Head of Optics for G-14 Company, Mr. Gbadebo Anifowose. With military precision we had our brief from the C.E.O, complete with check lists and time delay plan b execution etc. That day was going to be awesome, and it was.

One of the special guests on the set that day was one of the Lekki Housewives Star and Gbomo Gbomo express extraordinaire Kiki Omeili.

Like a gush of fresh air, she appeared just the way we loved, no make up ready to be pampered with all our Zaron Cosmetics goodies on her beautiful face. After some minor delays, she was finally in the make up chair and armed with a tea tray (did she have a tea tray or was that someone else? anyway..).

Fast forward to the shoot chair and as expected, articulacy and gracefulness were so not far from her reach and her response to every question about how the beauty industry added value to the entertainment sector, how the industry was five years ago compared to now was impeccably on point.

As we gear up to the launch of the Beauty Reports documentary, which features this special interview the Nollywood Actress, we also requested to spend a day with her to find out more about her beauty regiment, the products (to determine stakeholders) she uses and so much more to which she obliged.

Like you, we can not wait to watch the Documentary on one of the biggest industries in the world. But not to worry, July cometh. In the mean time, check out the latest Beauty Reports teaser on our YouTube channel.

Luxury Beauty Brunch with Gala Rosa Wines

Gala Rosa Wines Sponsors the "World of Fragrances" Luxury Beauty Brunch..

Wines are said to be one of the most sought after drink of choice in some parts of the globe, some can even be quoted to say, "when in doubt about what to drink, drink some wine". Actually, nobody said that but it sure sounds like something that should be said, which begs the question, why would anyone be in doubt about what to drink, the doubt should be "to drink or not to drink"?

Anyway, before we go into another subject entirely about choices, lets FOCUS.

Yes, lets focus on the brand "Gala Rosa Wines" and why they are being described as the best wine in Nigeria.

Our research team that travelled to South Africa last year revealed that Nigerian companies or importers to Nigeria generally prefer the "sweet wines" to "non-sweet wines" (to wine connoisseurs the word would be "dry wines") so the Gala Rosa brand created an ingenious concept, wines that cater to the sweet wine drinking community and also doubles as an ingredient for a cocktail.

We of-course were in wine heaven here at the HQ, a wine we can drink during brunch that can also double as a mixer for our Vodkas or whatever "BRING IT ON".

Fast forward to the brunch day, our tables were loaded and overloaded with bottles after bottles of the Gala Rosa Red and the Gala Rosa White. Our guests were plied with glass after glass of the delicious tasting wine. It came as no surprise when our C.E.O. sent word that we must reserve at least two bottles for her to "test" the cocktail factor. Our enquiry into how it went down received a "fit for all stated purposes seal".

So there you go, we try these products just for you and if its awesome, we recommend you splurge on it. Needless to say the brunch went awesomely well and testimonials from our guests proved it.

We shoot every product from our sponsors for our Blog, our Magazine and Documentary. Shoot location was Casper and Gambinis in Victoria Island. Image by Pharaohs Photography.

We even did some product placement with the wines for the Lifestyle Section of the upcoming Beauty Reports Magazine
